I know what you’re going through. I have an 8 year old daughter (Alex), who was in treatment for AML (Acute Mylogenous Leukemia) for over five years. Birthdays and holidays were alway tricky. Twice I was able to arrange private showings at a local movie theater for her and a few friends on her birthday, but that’s probably not an option on Valentine’s Day.

Where are you located? If there’s a Starlight * Starbright chapter in your area, they might have some events planned for Valentine’s Day. Even if they don’t they should be able to come up some ideas to make it a good Valentine’s Day for both you and your daughter.

What would be a good Valintines gift for my 11 year old daughter?
