…the greeting card and flower delivery industries will make off of today (Valentine’s Day)…?
I read on Yahoo today that the U.S. will spend $17 billion on Valentine’s Day… wow…
Not sure how much money they’ll end up making, but I do know that a dozen roses any other day of the year would only be about 30 bucks, but today they’re 70 or 80. It’s ridiculous.

Would it be a good idea to get a girl (whom i would like to date) flowers for Christmas or is that kind of lame? Assuming it is a good idea, would it be better to get her a boquet of her favorite flower or a bouquet of a varity of flowers? Also, would it mean more if i gave them to her in person-in which case it would either have to be before or after christmas- or have them delivered to her house on christmas day? Since she is only eighteen and lives with her family(same goes for me), would it be rude to send them on christmas day, which would result in her christmas morning with her family interupted by a delivery truck?

I work as a Professional Floral Designer. I have a degree in Horticulture and 10+ years work experience. My work experience includes but is not limited to:(this is what I do every day) Designing/arranging fresh cut and silk flowers per customer order; answering phones; waiting on customers; plant care (watering etc); processing fresh cuts when they first come in, cleaning and basic shop up-keep; occasional delivery, some basic computer work; ordering some product from wholesalers (not too often though..) and managing the shop when the boss isn’t here…which seems like most of the time……I am her only employee and get $8.10/ hour…am I getting screwed or what? If she gives me a raise, she cuts back the number of hours I work.
Oh, I live in Central NY State….not near the city
My degree has everything to do with my job..I specialized in floral design..that was my main focus area in college…everything else was just a bonus….(like the greenhouse mngmnt courses…)
Sounds like you need to find someone else to work for.

Ok, I’ve been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years now. Lately things have been real bad between us, And finally I decided to break it off for good. Well I blocked her from texting me today, unable to block her.She called me ova 100 times today and left a gazillion messages crying, saying she cant live without me etc…. I did not call her back. When I got back to work from my lunch she had sent me Flowers to work!!! Same day delivery?? with a nice card saying how much she loves me and is sorry. I didnt call her or text. So she decides to call my work!!!!!! For several hours my work number kept ringing with block caller, I know it was her… THe thing is it was beginning to bother my co-workers cuz they were getting them calls tooo!!! I txt her and told her to stop????? What is that? is that like crazy or what??? She denied it was her calling my work, but Iknow it was her!!!! I feel the only way to keep her calm and not psycho is by txting her " we’ll talk later" help me….what do I do?????????
yeah she’s pyscho.but text her that "we’ll talk later" thing,and then when you get home,you need to call her and explain.If she doesn’t understand and continues to bother you,you need to contact the police and file a harrassment report.
This seems to be a very epic story but i ordered online some flowers for my girlfriend. I have listed a detail below of a timeline i devised to work out the events.
There saying that they left a message and because my girlfriend never replied. They assume she didnt want them.
I am saying i gave them 5 means of contact. 3 phone number and two emails so they could contact me.
My girlfriend said she never received the message and has had no card to say anyone has tried to deliver. All the emails they have replied to keep blaming the middle man and i just want my money back. What should i do. They are not listening now. There main office is in Switzerland. Is there any online rights? or websites that police this?
18.12.2008 Placed order for flowers to be sent to Colorado. Payed and clarified in the special instructions to please email me the date of delivery.
26.12.2008 Sent 2 emails Fleurop and tried to call
27.12.2008 Sent another 2 emails to Fleurop through the website and my email.

29.12.2008 Contacted by Fleurop ( Veronica) and told i am on hold till they contact the USA branch

31.12.2008 Sent an email from Fleurop that contains the quote ‘’she will be confirmed that you preferred to stop and cancel the order.”
which makes no sense since as there was over 5 forms of contact on the initial order. I was not contacted. And being the main purchaser it is thought i would be contacted first. Even though i requested this in the beginning on the 18th of december. And even when i have asked you to call me,my request has still not been replyed too.
You’ve got a problem with jurisdiction. The contract between you and the supplier is that they would deliver the goods. You are not part of the contract between the supplier and the delivery firm – that’s their problem. If you paid and they failed to honour their part of the contract, you are entitled to a refund plus damages. But where are you going to sue?
If you paid by credit card, tell the card issuer and they will get you a refund.

wtf!all i want is a man who will:
be honest, faithful, hold the door for me, make good money, rock my world in the bed, cut the grass, wait while i shop, send me flowers, give me foot massages, take me to dinner every weekend, be happy to see me not have to work, take me on cruises & vacations to including but limited to: barbados, tahiti, jamaica, italy, france, germany, swiss alps, spain, south africa, bermuda, florida keys & bahamas, be into home improvement & build me my own wing of a house including a full gym incl: stairmaster, elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, mirrored wall, ballet bar, mounted tv w/ dvd, free weights w/ rack, seperate bedroom w/ four-poster bed & large bath w/ vintage claw-foot bath, huge gold-leaf mirror, custom fixtures, chandelier, sauna, sep. massage rm w/ table (and pay an on-call masseuse anytime i want one), arrange surprise deliveries to me of: lingerie, designer clothing/bags, roses, imported chocolates & champagne, chauffered car to bring me

THEN i would be happy!

Here is what I can do:
i can do all the first portion except for the trips, and thats only because I am in college. Once I get my bachelors, I’ll have it made! YAY! I can probobly build you a house, though don’t expect me to do the yard work too often, as I don’t want to get my suite dirty when i get home from my high profile business meetings.
Also, I enjoy working out and will actually have a bad a$$ gym set at the house and will use it frequently, so I can only imagine the amount of competition that will arise as a result… can u handle it?
I enjoy the classy elegance of a chrome, gold leaf, and and I etch my own engraving designs so my house will look top notch.
I will definately watch you try out all the clothes you want, but the only thing is – you’re paying for them, however, I will pay if you don’t make me go with you… unless its provocative, lol.
AND No I will never fold, no matter how nice you look or how sweet the deal is, and hire a NANNY! My kids are mine and thats it… I love flowers so expect them often and jewlery as a way to say I love you…. But thats it. other than that, good luck with your choices, as we number in the few.
